Objectives of DISHA Foundation

To harness the inherent goodness in people for the collective good of the community through meaningful initiatives by

Enhancing Quality and Coverage of Education – To facilitate the on-going educational activities of the existing education system and improving the quality of education. This includes

• Establishment, maintenance and managing educational institutions, vocational training centers, research centers, book banks and libraries
• Instituting of scholarships, stipends and prizes
• Organizing and conduct of seminars, symposia and lectures of general academic interest.

Enhancing Economic Stability - Providing Relief to the poor – To build the capacity of vulnerable communities of the society and to get rid of poverty through utilization of available resources. This includes

• Providing food, clothing and cash grants to the needy both directly and through other charitable institutions.
• Assisting and providing the construction of community halls, rest houses and houses and support the inmates of orphanages, rescue and rehabilitation centers
• Provide relief through cash grants in times of natural calamities.

Promoting Health and providing Medical relief – Educate the community towards living a healthy life, preventing common diseases & providing support to get need based & right medical services. This includes

• Establish, maintain and improve hospitals, medical laboratories and research centers. Provide and facilitate treatment, cure, rest, recuperation and other medical relief to the community with special emphasis for the aged, physically & mentally challenged and the socio economically deprived
• Establish, maintain and develop Blood banks and drug banks.
• Organize, run and help organize free medical camps in rural areas.

Networking and collaborative interventions

• Support to other organisations – Work along with likeminded institutions towards building a better society
